This is our second ever annual report.

What an amazing year it has been.

Last year, I mentioned how exciting the decade ahead would be and 2020 was the foundational year that many didn’t know they needed.

It gave way to humility, which will now allow for an opportunity of true growth to occur.

Focus, Narrowing, and Amplification

Last year was one of understanding for Dream BIG & Co.

This year was one of focus, narrowing, and amplification because of that.

As a company, we brought on four excellent advisors, that have expertise in their respective fields (tech, finance, operations, and media/branding). It will be critical to lean into their strengths when we need it most - which is what we did at one point in 2020 (see below).

When the events of the pandemic and U.S recession started to become known in the public eye, naturally, internal questions started to arise about what I was doing and what Dream BIG was doing.

We were in the midst of a test. In a boat with a massive storm brewing above. If we didn’t change our perspective or realign our values, we would’ve drowned.

Thanks to one of our advisors, he helped us rethink the bigger picture.

Our Life Cycle

I always believe that life is binary in terms of value and environment. If something feels off path in your life, it means one of those needs changing or reframing.

After this was created our structure was solidified, our values were set, and our perspective was spot on.

Operations, system building, and pragmatic action was more seamless thereafter.

Quantitatively, we officially broke even for the first time. This was huge. It was both validating and affirmative to see our value equate to monetary, positive means.

Even though we broke even, much of our capital was deployed into funding the next stage of Dream BIG & Co development (tech, product, new media,). See the above picture on our business life cycle for what “next stage development” looks like.

Qualitatively, we enhanced operations and systems to a high degree. Making things visual was super helpful in having others on the team comprehend concepts too - myself included.

The reason I focused so much on outreach, interviewing, and systems was for this sole reason: “To first scale, you have to do the unscalable.”

And not that scaling is the BIG goal here.

However, and congruently, growth definitely is.

In order to be our best, we must operate at our best. So, the guardrails of these plans and the gears of these systems, will help us in doing just that.
